The final stage of the amalgamation of Gemini Mannequins into the Universal Display Group is now complete.
With one enlarged factory in West London comprising both fibreglass and papier mache production, and combined showrooms in London's West End, we are proud to present ourselves as one of the leading visual display figure companys in the UK.
In addition, Universal Display have built and opened a fibreglass factory in the south of mainland China. This factory is required to produce long runs of mannequins at competitive prices. The London factory manufactures our new designs, does makeups, wigs and renovations, and has full time staff doing sculpting and mould making.
The reason for all this re-organisation is to realise a new concept that has been in our mind for some time. With client's budgets severely cut or even curtailed, it is necessary to be able to offer better quality product and service, superior design and value for money. Universal Display are now able to offer clients the opportunity to purchase fibreglass or papier mache figures at prices that cannot be ignored, with the guarantee that quality has not been sacrificed. More importantly, store groups can create their own corporate identity without the necessity of purchasing huge amounts of figures at one time. Imagine being able to have your own exclusive mannequin and not having to pay extra for it. Flexibility is the criteria now, no longer can we produce mannequin ranges hoping the client will buy them It is essential to recognise what the client actually wants, and to provide the service with a minimum of fuss.
A start has already been made in this direction, look at Monsoon's windows to see the results of co-operation. We are also working with four other major store groups to produce their own figures.
